Landing Force made his way into DJ Weekly #68 (the online DJ Mag edition, released weekly as the name very much implies, and very ambitious). We whipped up this ad for him, based on his super snazzy promo shot. From DJ Weekly, the ad links directly to Landing Force’s DJ set.

Premium Competition Winner: DJ Hohme

After our jury congregated, DJ Hohme came out the winner! All the pieces are being collected for DJ Mag and will be ready for publishing in the forthcoming issue, along with the above pictured insert in the DJ Mag Weekly e-mail. Congratulations Hohme!
Premium Members winner: Alexander Fog

Guess who just won the Premium members contest on Let’s Mix? Alexander Fog, that’s who! Here’s a glimpse of what the feature will look like once DJ Mag hits the stands.
We ran out of space for the interview, but we wanted to share this part of the Q&A with you guys.
Looking at some of your promo pics… what do you do to stay fit and avoid bad food on tour? How can we have a belly which is not flappy like ours?
- Ha ha, I need to say that I’m not putting in too many hours of gym, now that studio time consumes all my days. So maybe my belly has got a little bigger too.
- Eating and drinking on the fly makes you fat, and fat fast. The best rule is to sleep well, and have a good session in the gym to throw the stress of your body. Try stay away from carbs. Pizza… whoa. And also, have a very good sexual life.

Mix of the day: Samo of Drifter Sthlm

With us occasionally going all out in support of local talent, you can’t really blame us with Sweden being home to so much musical genius. Samo, an all around nice guy, has just started his new label Drifter Sthlm. This would be the third record label he sets off, all the while being the same age as certain pieces of my wardrobe.
Samo Dj Never Too Much from Drifter Sthlm at Letsmix.com.
He whipped us up a promo mix in support of the first release, due out on the label shortly. It features Swedish Grammy winner Aksel Friberg (of Hundarna Från Söder fame), doing crazy electro freestyle fanatics that’s sure to please anyone who’s ever consciously tuned in to Eli Escobar, DJ U-Tern or our homies Helsinki 78-82. If you’re looking for some dubbed out club records, vintage electronics and deep reggae, these are the joints.
South West Four 2010 Winner: DJ Huby

With South West Four just around the bend (and all sold out!), we took a quick Q&A with DJ Huby, who by making a mix which in a humble yet convincing way showcased his love for the artist and music of South West Four.
What was it about the South West Four competition that got your attention?
I just saw all the greatest artists from the world in one place and said: “Just let me try…”
How did you approach constructing a winning mix?
I realized that the competition mix needed to consist of artists from the festival, and be in line with the music policy of the night – deep and tech house… And I just chose to combine my favourite DJs from the festival with some other artists with similar style, that I also happen to very much like.
What are some of your favourite artists to perform South West Four?
Tough choice, because they are all the greatest around. But Joris Voorn is my favourite artist at this time.

Where can we catch you DJing after South West Four is over?
In any place where I can get people happy on the dance floor. Anywhere really, but hopefully in London sometime again!
