What’s up world, Miami WMC 2010 is on! After a slight delay in trans-Atlantic communications, here is NGDJ winners Maya Vanya’s report from their first ever day in Miami, including DJ Mag and Ultra parties, tropical tech house craziness and friends in the ever-present swimming pool.

Caribou, or Dan Snaith as his passport says, has been hailed as one of the leaders of “folktronica”, that sweet mash up of folk-rocksy soundscapes and electronic rhythms pioneered by producers such as Four Tet.
